Grown Up: Event Planner (1)

This badge hasn't officially been started as such, but the ideas of what I want to do are there and I will outline them here, ready for when they have been done!

Event One: A Dinner Party

Every year, we always do a Burns Night dinner at home for Mum, Dad & I.

This year, I would like to host a Burns Night Dinner party and invite our friend Stuart (who is Scottish) to join us. My sister has moved in with us too, so she will be the 5th guest, and I'd invite my other half too.

I have a main course and dessert planned; Balmoral Chicken, followed by Cranachan, but stuck for ideas on a starter (possibly Cock-a-Leekie soup? But this could be a tad too heavy!)

Drinks would be the standard offerings of alcohol, but I am definitely on planning Irn Bru chasers haha!

I also have ideas of how I would like the dining table to be laid too.

Event Two: A Holiday

I have two weekends away booked in with the other half, and a family holiday in June. For our family holiday, it will be the third time lucky and we hope to get some sun in Greece. We return to the same island each time and we have yet to see inside the castle, as everytime we go, it's shut. But at least we know it's open every day, except Tuesdays now after learning the hard way!

The two weekends away are aiming to be city breaks somewhere in Europe, but we are yet to decide on locations. We have a weekend in February and the second in April, so any suggestions for places to go are greatly appreciated! We have some ideas, but we are struggling to narrow them down!

Event Three: A Street Party

I could unfortunately never organise a street party for my road as it's too busy, but I am hoping to organise a party for my Guide unit at our hut, and to hopefully invite the Brownie group who meet before us. We have held one previously for the Queen's Birthday in 2016, and we invited the Scout Group who own the hut we meet at.
